National Award for Excellence in Innovation for the year 2006

Alfa electronics received the National Award for Excellence in Innovation on Tuesday 26th of December, 2006. Eng. Adel Adib the general manager received the award in a ceremony headed by the Prime Minister Dr. Ahmad Nazeef. It was held in the Cleopatra hall at Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel in Cairo. The ceremony was attended by the Trade & Industry Minister, Economic Development Minister, Local Development Minister, Health Minister, Head of Egyptian Industries Union and the Head of the Industrial Modernization Center (IMC).

Alfa Electronics’ representatives in the ceremony were Eng. Mohamad Gamal Said (Buisness Development General Manager), Eng. Nahed Nassif (Human Resources General Manager), Eng. Ezzat Kamal (Quality Control Manager) and Eng. Yasser El Zoghby (Engineering Manager).

About the National Award for Excellence in Innovation
The National Awards for Excellence are three Awards introduced by Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Trade and Industry. The awards are designed to honor the Egyptian industrial enterprises that hold Quality, Export and Innovation as the prime concern. The awards bear high value due to the fact that, in their blueprints and assessment methodology, they model their contemporary internationally recognized awards in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and other developed countries. The introduction of the Quality and Export awards for the second time, in addition to the introduction of the Innovation Award for the first time in Egypt, provides the Egyptian enterprises that thrive in reaching world-class standards in performance; the opportunity to gain a well deserved wide array of public and consequently international recognition.

The National Award for Excellence in innovation is designed to assess and merit the process adopted by an enterprise to innovate and how far this process is part and parcel of the enterprise's system having an impact on its overall performance and the economy as a whole.
The awards do not only focus on the end results, as reflected by the performance indicators, but they also mark the processes followed to achieve those results. Depending on how comprehensive the enterprise's processes are and the system adopted to achieve the results qualifying for the awards the Board of Examiners , therefore, goes through in-depth analysis of each enterprise's manufacturing, performance and exports modus operandi thus ensuring the sustainability of good performance indicators in all domains.
